With a hungry desire to become financially independent, Michelle left school at 16 and entered the world of work straight away. Excelling in IT, Michelle quickly specialised in database development and IT solution design before moving into IT project management.
In the years that followed, Michelle became a self-employed consultant running multi-million/multi-year business transformation programmes, specialising in digital change. Clients included Tesco, Merlin Entertainments, Tiscali, Colt Telecom and Comic Relief.
Michelle launched and sold the UK’s first social buying aggregator, as well as the UK’s first family, orientated social buying site.
Michelle is a qualified transformation coach and works with several start-ups and individuals, helping them reach top performance.
In 2006, Michelle was the first female winner of BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’, which saw her working directly with Lord Alan Sugar.
Since The Apprentice, Michelle has become a regular fixture in broadcast media; co-presenting a weekly debate programme on Sky News called ‘The Pledge’ and making multiple appearances on Question Time, Politics Live, Andrew Marr and Newsnight, to name a few. She has also stood for election into UK parliament, twice.
Michelle is a non-executive director as well as an ambassador for a SAAS platform and multiple charities.
